Western Grebe Swimming

Nikon D1h, 500mm f/4 AF-S, TC-14e, Matrix Metering, -0.3ev, 1/500sec, f/8, RAW Format, Auto WB, Auto Tone, Gitzo Monopod

I mostly dependent on the Sunny-16 rules to confirm the exposure for this shot. I based this on the sun strength almost being full and then pulling about -0.3 ev to keep the whites bright and not blown out. The day was very overcast and this image was made during one of the brighter periods.
